What is Restaurant Week?
Restaurant Week is a promotion that encourages people to experience the best dining Shelton has to offer. The promotion runs for one week during which participating restaurants offer multi course fixed price menus. Restaurant Week drives attention to all participating restaurants, and encourages both locals and visitors alike to explore new dining options, or revisit some of their favorites to enjoy special menu offerings.
When is it?
Shelton Restaurant Week is February 24 – March 1, 2020
Shelton Restaurant Week registration opens – January 15, 2020
Deadline for registering and submitting menus – February 5, 2020 *Extended to February 6th & menus can be submitted next week.*
How does it work?
During Shelton Restaurant Week, participating restaurants offer multi-course, prix fixe menu (not including tax, beverages and gratuity) for lunch and/or dinner in addition to their regular menus. It’s recommended that restaurants offer three options for each course, i.e., three appetizers, three entrees and three desserts. Menu items should be representative of the restaurant in both portion size and quality.
What is the cost to become a participating restaurant?
The participation fee is $250 per venue to participate in the week-long promotion and payment is by credit card only. After February 5th, the registration fee increases to $300 and you may not be included in print marketing after deadline. The participation fee is allocated to the advertising and promotion of Restaurant Week that drives diners to participating restaurants. Restaurants receive exposure through print, web, email, and social media marketing promotions, including ConnecticutRestaurantWeek.com – the official website for this special event. Plus exposure and shout outs on our social media pages: Instagram (44,000+ followers), Twitter (14,000+ followers) & Facebook (10,000+ fans). Participating restaurants will each have a dedicated web page on ConnecticutRestaurantWeek.com highlighting their restaurant details and restaurant week menus.
